Terms that govern your use of CleanPrompt.

1. Acceptance & Eligibility
By accessing CleanPrompt, you agree to be bound by these Terms of Service. To use our service, you must be at least 13 years old. If you are using CleanPrompt on behalf of a company, you represent that you have the authority to bind that entity to these terms.
2. Proprietary Rights
Software Ownership
CleanPrompt and its original content, features, and functionality (including the browser-based redaction engine) are the exclusive property of CleanPrompt and its licensors.
Your Content
You retain all rights to any documents you import into CleanPrompt. Because our processing is local-first, your sensitive document content remains on your machine and is never owned or accessed by us, except as explicitly detailed in our Privacy Policy (e.g., account metadata).
3. Subscriptions & Billing
Renewals: Paid subscriptions automatically renew at the end of each billing cycle (monthly or annual) unless cancelled through your account dashboard or the Stripe billing portal.
Free Trials: Paid tiers may include a 14-day free trial for eligible accounts. A valid payment method is required to start a free trial. Your card is used to set up billing and will not be charged during the trial. If you do not cancel before the trial ends, your selected subscription begins and your card is charged automatically at the end of the trial. You can cancel during the trial and keep access until the trial ends.
Refund Policy: After a paid subscription begins, payments are generally non-refundable except where required by law. You can cancel anytime to prevent future renewals.
Pricing: We reserve the right to change our subscription fees. Any price changes will apply to the next billing cycle following notice to you.
4. Acceptable Use
You agree not to use the service for any illegal purposes or to facilitate the redaction of documents for fraudulent activity.
5. Limitation of Liability
CleanPrompt is provided "as is" without warranties of any kind. In no event shall CleanPrompt be liable for any indirect, incidental, special, or consequential damages resulting from the use or inability to use the service, including but not limited to leaks caused by improper user configuration of redaction rules.
6. Governing Law
These Terms shall be governed by and construed in accordance with the laws of the State of Victoria, Australia, without regard to its conflict of law provisions. Any disputes arising under these terms shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts located in Melbourne, Victoria.
